National Baseball Hall of Fame  4/17/03

The lobby of the Hall of Fame.  These are, of course, representations of Babe Ruth and Ted Williams.  Apparently they chose to highlight the emaciated, deathbed Babe, based on his rather wasted appearance here.  Personally, I would've preferred the glory years, over the chemotherapy era, but that's just me.

The plaque of my boyhood hero, Johnny Bench.  This is my own personal Jerusalem.

I'm not sure why I think this is funny, but I do.

Lou Gehrig's locker.  Steve and I stood here and grasped the doors in the area where we guessed he had grasped it.  I'd like to say I felt a life-altering vibration or something, but I only felt an urge to urinate and I think it had more to do with the Cracker Barrel coffee than the Iron Horse.
